Hawaiian Exfoliating Body Wash by Alba Botanica

I had never heard of the Hawaiian ALBA BOTANICA range before and thought I’d give it a try when I saw it was available on the Bath and Unwind website. This product is an exfoliating body wash with natural papaya, mango, and hibiscus extracts. It is very smooth, not like a body scrub. It doesn’t foam much, which I thought was a bit disappointing when it is supposed to be a body wash, but it is hypo allergenic, rejuvenating and renews your skin with a refreshing touch. The material used to exfoliate your skin is the almond meal. It is said to “lift away dulling impurities to reveal fresh and healthy-looking skin”. I’d love to try the Hawaiian body scrub with sea salt extracts next time. The Alba Botanica range offers all types of products from spa treatments to hair care treatments.

PROS : The natural scent is very pleasant, delicate, very summery, fresh and fruity. I love the colourful packaging and the refreshing effect.

CONS : doesn’t foam enough, I sometimes feel like I have to use another body wash after use. The abrasive material (almond meal) is too gentle for my skin.

Je n'avais jamais entendu parler de la gamme hawaïenne Alba Botanica avant de la découvrir sur le site de Bath and Unwind. Ce produit est un exfoliant pour le corps avec des extraits naturels d'hibiscus, de papaye et de mangue. Il est très doux, contrairement à un gommage. Il ne mousse pas beaucoup, ce que j'ai trouvé un peu décevant quand un produit est supposé être pour la douche, mais il est hypoallergénique, revivifiant et renouvelle la peau avec une touche de fraîcheur. La poudre d'amende est la matière utilisée pour exfolier la peau. Le produit permet de se débarrasser des impuretés pour obtenir une peau fraîche et en bonne santé. J'adorerais essayer le gommage aux extraits de sel de mer. La gamme Alba Botanica propose une large gamme de produits variés, de traitements de spas aux lotions pour les cheveux.

POUR : l'odeur est très agréable, délicate, très estivale, fraiche et fruitée. J'adore le design coloré du tube et l'effet rafraichissant.

CONTRE : il ne mousse pas assez, j'ai parfois l'impression de devoir me relaver avec un gel douche. La poudre d'amande est trop douce pour ma peau et pas assez abrasive.
